Not every mold concern requires laboratory testing.
If obvious mold growth and a known moisture source are present, the immediate priority may simply be correcting the moisture problem and properly removing affected materials.
Testing becomes particularly useful when the source is uncertain, mold is suspected but not visible, multiple areas need to be compared, documentation is required, or post-remediation verification is being performed.
A good mold investigation should not rely on laboratory numbers alone. Visual observations, moisture conditions, building history, odors, ventilation, and sampling results should all be considered together.
